The AFAQ Inc. is probably the oldest fishing club in Queensland (maybe Australia). It was started on the 11th May 1904 and the cottage at Bribie Island was built in 1925. Membership is restricted to 80 and we are currently running at about 77. The Association has published their history and still tries to maintain a fairly extensive fish museum with a lot of the specimens dating back to the very early days. We are happy to show anybody who is interested through the premises - contact one of the above committee.
